Order Cancellation and Modification Policy

At Newyorkshelter, we aim to process and ship orders as efficiently as possible. We understand that circumstances may change and you may need to adjust your order. This policy explains the timelines and procedures for canceling or modifying an order placed on newyorkshelter.com.

  1. ORDER FULFILLMENT TIMELINE

Our team begins preparing orders shortly after they are placed to meet our 1-2 day handling commitment.

  • Cut-off Time: Orders submitted before 5:00 PM EST (Monday through Friday) typically enter the processing phase the same day.
  • Processing Status: Once an order has reached the “Processing” or “Shipped” stage, modifications are no longer guaranteed as the package may already be with the carrier.
  1. CANCELLATION POLICY

2.1 Requesting a Cancellation You may request a full cancellation of your order within 12 hours of purchase, provided the order has not yet been processed for shipment. To cancel, please email hotline@newyorkshelter.com with your full name and order number.

2.2 Cancellation Eligibility

  • Before Processing: Full cancellation and immediate refund are available.
  • During Processing: We will make every effort to stop the shipment, but it is not guaranteed.
  • After Shipment: Orders that have already been dispatched cannot be canceled. You must receive the package and follow our standard Return and Refund Policy.
  1. ORDER MODIFICATION POLICY

3.1 Available Changes If your order has not yet been processed, you may request changes to:

  • Item size or color.
  • Product swaps (subject to price adjustment).
  • Shipping address corrections.
  • Contact information updates.

3.2 Address Corrections It is vital to provide an accurate shipping address at checkout. If you notice an error, contact hotline@newyorkshelter.com immediately. If the order has already shipped to the incorrect address provided, Newyorkshelter cannot redirect the package, and the customer may need to contact the carrier (USPS, UPS, FedEx, or DHL) directly.

3.3 Price Adjustments for Changes If a product swap results in a higher total, we will provide a secure link for the remaining balance. If the new item is less expensive, the price difference will be refunded to your original payment method.

  1. FEES AND CHARGES
  • No Cancellation Fees: We do not charge fees for canceling an order that has not yet been processed.
  • No Restocking Fees: There are no hidden costs for modifying your order details prior to shipment.
  • Carrier Fees: Any fees associated with rerouting a package after it has left our facility are the responsibility of the customer and are charged by the carrier, not Newyorkshelter.
  1. SHIPPED ORDERS

Once a tracking number has been generated and the package has been handed to the carrier:

  • No further changes or cancellations can be made.
  • You may return the item for a full refund within our 30-day return window once it arrives.
  • Newyorkshelter offers Free Returns, meaning you will not be charged for return shipping.
  1. EXCEPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES

6.1 Inventory Availability In the rare event that an item becomes unavailable after you place an order, we will notify you immediately. You will be offered the choice of a full refund to your original payment method or a replacement item of equal value.

6.2 Duplicate Transactions If you accidentally place a duplicate order, please contact us within the 12-hour window so we can cancel the extra transaction and issue a refund before both orders are processed.
